What is Laser Therapy?
Laser therapy is the application of low-level laser energy to
achieve a variety of clinical outcomes. The effects of LLLT are
photochemical, not thermal. Photons that penetrate the skin are
absorbed by the mitochondria of the cell. The mitochondrial once
stimulated by the application and infusion of light energy
produce enzymes and ATP. Cells communicate and operate using
chemical signals known as enzymes. All of the enzymes produced
are those naturally used and produced by the cell. They are
produced in the ratios and quantities normally used by the body.
In human tissue, the resulting photochemical reaction produces
an increase in the cellular metabolic rate, which expedites cell
repair and stimulation of the immune, lymphatic and vascular
systems. The inflammation, edema, and an overall reduction in
healing time is decreased.
It is used in many Medical applications, and is now generally
accepted worldwide as an effective treatment. |

"I had back surgery that did not help the constant pain in my
low back. I couldn’t stand for any length of time so I had to
retire. I was told about the Decompression Therapy and decided
to try it. Dewey Spine Center put me on their decompression
machine about two years ago and it has made my back so that I
can now do many of the things that I want to do. The staff at
Dewey Spine Center has been very helpful in giving me back a
better quality of life."
